How can I become a stockist of Rizza's Ice cream?

What is your opening and closing times?
We are open Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm. We also have two retail shops one in Huntly and the other in Lossiemouth. Huntly is open 9am till 9pm Monday to Saturday and 10am till 9pm Sunday.
Lossiemouth is 10am till 9pm Monday to Sunday.


What are your flavours and sizes?

Do you deliver direct?
All our deliveries are direct from St Andrews to John O' Groats over to the west coast and Isle of Skye. Anywhere out of this radius may be delivered 3rd party.


What is your minimum order?
We are proud to say we don't have a minimum order! You can order whatever you require on the day we are in your area.


Do you offer a free menu service?
Working closely with our partners Bindi we can offer a free menu service on products by Bindi. Also using different sundries we also offer a free ice cream sundae menu service for those who use Rizza Ice Cream. Please contact us on 01466 792847 for more information.


What temperature should the ice cream be stored at?
For long-term storage, below minus 18C. If you are scooping the ice cream, we recommend minus 15C as it is easier to scoop. Many people run their freezers between minus 14C to 17C in these situations depending on size and temperature of surroundings.


What is the best way to look after my scooping ice cream freezer?
Luckily, it does not require much special attention. However it is worth doing the following: make sure the freezer is out of direct sunlight and condenser vents are unobstructed; condensation on glass sliding lids should be wiped off regularly to prevent ice build up; and keep the lids and cover the tubs every night, as this prevents ice forming on the surface of the ice cream. By taking at least two temperature readings, (one in the morning and the 2nd last thing at night) you are prepared to act if there is a issue with freezing. This will avoid loss of stock. For all Rizza Customers we supply a safe handling of ice cream booklet to help assist in keeping your freezer tidy and clean. This can be downloaded in the Trade Customer login section.


How do I stop ice crystal forming in the ice cream?
Make sure you always shake excess water off the scoop; make sure that your freezer is cold enough and doesn’t fluctuate in temperature too much; and cover the half used tubs over night with lids.


How many scoops should I be getting from a 5 Litre?
With proper management, you will get 44 scoops from a 5 litre tub using a size 20 scoop. For bulk products please contact us for more information.

Do you do any form of freezer deal?
We have many freezer deals suitable for everyone's needs. Many of our deals offer free stock in exchange, only if you commit to buying our Ice Cream and sundries. Please click here to see our freezer deals.

 

What Point of Sale is available?
We offer a very comprehensive range of POS for trade customers. Whether its ice cream or for long life mix we offer everything free of charge.


Are your hygiene standards regularly audited?
James Rizza & Sons Ltd for the past 10 years have attained an BRC A grade pass with no non conformances due to excellent hard work put in by our Quality Control Team. Due to the intense work to achieve this achievement we pride ourselves on staying on top of changing legislation and hygiene standards.
